Manhattan police have alerted residents of an alligator seen in a local pond. Sure, he might only be 2 feet long—but those teeth are still probably pretty sharp, right?
Please use caution when fishing in the pond in Leighlinbridge between Shannon Drive and Gougar, the police wrote in a social media notice. Please avoid using the pond until the alligator can be rescued and released.
A photo of the gator shows his diminutive size (compared to the gators you’d see in the wild), and it’s assumed he is someone’s former pet. But keep an eye out for the little guy.
