Crisis Center For South Suburbia Recognizes New Lenox Resident
Beth Mahar was honored with the Dianne Masters Award from the organization.
NEW LENOX, IL — A New Lenox resident was recently honored with the Dianne Masters Award from the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, according to a release from the organization. Beth Mahar was honored with the award for "her commitment to victims of domestic violence, her leadership in fundraising and her contributions as a long-time board member," a release states.
A virtual gala will be held Feb. 20, and Mahar and the other award winners will record an acceptance speech.
Other awards from the organization included: Courage Award presented to Brenda White of Glenwood, Spirit of Charity award presented to Sam and Kari Aiello, Volunteer Spirit Award presented to Mike Ruffner of Orland Park.

The new Gifts for Hope award was given to Gifts for Hope, the charity it is named after. The organization said in a release that the group has provided generous monetary contributions, but this year also helped families move to new housing.
