DUI, Power Tools Stolen: New Lenox Police Reports

New Lenox police reports through Sept. 28.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.

Sept. 22

  • Michael Powers, 47, of New Lenox, was charged with DUI-alcohol at 1:44 a.m. at Midnight Pass and Cattleman Drive. According to the police report, the officer saw Powers' vehicle commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted, and the officer learned Powers was driving under the influence of alcohol.
  • Someone stole several ladders from a construction site in the 500 block of Blackberry Lane.

  • Someone forced entry to a truck and stole power tools while it was parked overnight in the 700 block of Downing Street.

Sept. 26

  • Angel Rosales, 38, of Manhattan, was charged with retail theft at 4:59 p.m. at Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway. According to the police report, Rosales stole over $60 worth of items from the store. On Sept. 27, Rosales was again charged with retail theft at Walmart, after stealing over $30 worth of items, according to the police report.
