New Lenox: Township Republican Slate All Projected Winners

NEW LENOX, IL — Republicans running on the Citizens for New Lenox Township slate had a strong election Tuesday, as all the slate's candidates are the projected winners for their races.

The projected winners include: Dave Medema as township clerk; Ronald Sly as highway commissioner; Philip Juarez as township collector; and Martin Boban, Barbara Kaupas, Kathy Hilton and Patricia Deiters as township trustees.

Tuesday's election results are unofficial until certified by the county on April 27. Provisional Ballots cast on Election Day and all late Vote By Mail Ballots postmarked by Election Day will be counted at Provisional Count on April 20, according to the county clerk.

Township clerk

• Maureen Flanagan Broderick - 1,312

Township highway commissioner

• David Maine - 1,174
• Ronald Sly - 3,159

Township collector

• Sheila Corrigan - 1,475
• Philip Juarez - 2,758

Township trustee (vote for four)

• Alex Vancina - 1,383
• Michelle De Bella Monbrod - 1,280
• Laura Kinnan - 1,294
• Michelle Fadeley - 1,297
• Martin Boban - 2,852
• Barbara Kaupas - 2,877
• Kathy Hilton - 2,733
• Patricia Deiters - 2,711
  

The races for township supervisor and assessor were uncontested.

Wennlund, Medema, Sly, Hernandez, Juarez, Boban, Kaupas, Hilton and Deiters ran as Republicans, and as a part of the Citizens for New Lenox Township slate.

"Your Republican New Lenox Township officers and trustees have consistently provided exceptional township services without increasing tax rates," the slate wrote on Patch.
