First Cruise The Commons Of Summer Planned Tuesday

The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, featuring music from Worth the Risk and food trucks from Joey's Red Hots and Life's A Slice

NEW LENOX, IL — The first Cruise the Commons of the summer will be held Tuesday at the New Lenox Village Commons, 145-199 Veterans Parkway.

The free cruise night event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and will feature music from Worth the Risk and food trucks from Joey's Red Hots and Life's A Slice.

July 20: Featuring music by CK & The Gray; food trucks from Crescent City Gourmet and Smokin' Z BBQ

Aug. 17: Featuring music by Hard Vinyl; food trucks from Crescent City Gourmet and Smokin' Z BBQ

Sept. 21: Featuring music by Wavelength; food trucks from Joey's Red Hots and Smokin' Z BBQ

All interested drivers are encouraged to bring out their vehicles. There is no fee to participate, and vehicles of all makes and models are accepted.

Participating vehicles can enter the Commons from Route 30 or Haven Avenue to Gear Drive. The Veterans Parkway ring road will be closed to through traffic, according to the village website.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale, and there will also be food trucks on-site at each event.
