Fleckenstein's New Lenox Opening Delayed

NEW LENOX, IL - For the past few years, residents of New Lenox, hungry residents, have been waiting patiently for the arrival of Fleckenstein's Bakery. In 2015, Patch reported that Fleckenstein's was considering expanding from its business in Mokena on La Grange Road into a New Lenox property near U.S. 30 and Cedar Road. Since then, Fleckenstein's has changed its plans on opening a second location here in New Lenox. The good news is that Fleckenstein's arrival is almost here.

The popular bakery is now in the process of moving into the strip mall near the Ace Hardware store along Route 30. Fleckenstein's will be near the Mail & Parcel Store.

Last week, Fleckenstein's posted an announcement on its Facebook page, reminding customers and loyal patrons that their plans for New Lenox are coming to fruition, but the store won't be open in June as intended.

"We realize that you can't see much with the plywood on the windows, and that we were planning on June opening, but issues with getting all the I's dotted and T's crossed on permitting to get the plumbing inspection done has delayed us 4 weeks," Fleckenstein's informed its followers. "So we are now looking at July for opening ... On a positive note, AT&T installed phone service. The phone number is 815-462-3595."
