Football: L-W Central Loses to Andrew

Andrew 14, Lincoln-Way Central 7 • The Thunderbolts defense caused turnovers and knockdowns to pull out a Homecoming win.

Thanks to the defense's bend-don't-break game play, Andrew High School held on for a Homecoming win Friday, beating Lincoln-Way Central, 14-7.

Each time the Knights threatened to make an offensive run, the Thunderbolts came up with a clutch stop or big play. One of the biggest came in the third quarter when Xavier Medina recovered a L-W Central fumble. That eventually led to T-bolts quarterback Jacob Platt passing to Daniel Ball who bulldozed his way to the end zone for what would be the winning touchdown.
