Gina's Teardrop Cafe Temporarily Closed After Coronavirus Case

An employee at the cafe has tested positive for the coronavirus, so the business is temporarily closing "out of abundance of caution."

UPDATE: The restaurant reopened July 6 after a professional cleaning.

NEW LENOX, IL — Gina's Teardrop Cafe in New Lenox is temporarily closed after one of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus, the business shared on its Facebook page.

"While all sanitation protocols were followed, we feel we have no choice but to shut down temporarily out of abundance of caution and in an effort to keep our staff, customers and community protected," the business said on Facebook.
