In celebration of Father's Day on Sunday June 17, we asked Patch readers to submit a photo of their father.
NEW LENOX, IL - My father passed away in January of Parkinson's at the age of 75. He was diagnosed at the age of 52 and lived the last 23 years battling the disease. My dad knew just about anything and it was so sad to watch such a brilliant father washed away in such a disease. He was an Army veteran and to this day my mom still has 368 love letters he wrote her when he was in the service. He married my mom and they had 57 years together. My dad I loved his four children and we miss him. I want wish my dad a Happy Father’s Day.
