ID Theft, DUI, Retail Theft: New Lenox Police Reports
Here are the latest New Lenox police reports through Dec. 24.
The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.
Dec. 23
- An officer was dispatched to the New Lenox Police Department in reference to an identity theft complaint. The complainant advised that someone obtained their personal information and used it to fraudulently apply for unemployment benefits.
- An officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart at 501 E Lincoln Highway in reference to a retail theft complaint. According to police reports, the officer met with the complainant/employee who advised that the offender, 41-year-old Nichole S. Hodges (an employee), was involved in several thefts of small items from the store. Hodges was transported to the NLPD and charged with retail theft.

- The officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart at 501 E Lincoln Highway in reference to a retail theft complaint. According to police reports, the officer met with the complainant/employee who advised that 42-year-old Aracely Deharo stole approximately $148.00 worth of merchandise. Deharo was transported to the NLPD and charged with retail theft.
- An officer was dispatched to the area of Route 6 & I 355 in reference to a reckless driver complaint. While in route, the officer learned that the vehicle had crashed into a ditch. According to police reports, the officer arrived and located the vehicle and the driver, Juwan M. Dean, 22. The officer learned that Dean, who was not injured in the crash, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Dean was charged with DUI and transportation of open alcohol.
- An officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart at 501 E Lincoln Highway in reference to a retail theft complaint. The officer met with the complainant/employee who advised that 50-year-old LaMark A. Robinson stole over $60.00 worth of merchandise by failing to scan items in the self-checkout area, the police report said. He was charged with retail theft.
- According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walgreens at 450 S. Schoolhouse Road, in reference to a retail theft complaint. The officer met with the complainant who advised that two male subjects stole several items, including alcohol, from the store and fled.
