Kids Fishing Derby Planned In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Community Park District will hold its annual kids fishing derby on May 22. The fishing derby will be held at Freedom Park, 300 Charleston Drive, in New Lenox.

Check-in for the event begins at 8:30 a.m., and the derby will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. You must register for the event by May 19.

Prizes will be awarded for most fish caught, and longest fish caught, the park district website states. The event is free, and for ages 2-17.
