Lincoln-Way Girls Golf Teams Move On To Sectionals

Both Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way East won their regional competition as a team, and Lincoln-Way West advanced three golfers.

NEW LENOX, IL — The Lincoln-Way high schools' girls golf teams made quite a showing at Regional competitions on Wednesday. The district said both Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way East won their regional competition as a team, and Lincoln-Way West advanced three golfers to Sectionals.

According to the IHSA website, Lincoln-Way Central edged out both Lockport Township High School and Lincoln-Way West to take first at Regional with a score of 348. Lincoln-Way West finished with a score of 350.

According to the IHSA website, the Lincoln-Way Central team includes: seniors Caitlyn Parrish and Sydney Miron, juniors Claire Dubois, Sophia Bruozas and Emma Vander wall, and freshman Sarah Arsich.

Lincoln-Way West advanced three golfers: seniors Polly Ruhnke and Kaitlyn Valiska and freshman Kaylee Dwyer.

According to the IHSA site, Lincoln-Way East also took first at its Regional competition with a score of 325. The team includes: seniors Maddie Kenny, Annie Hackett and Kendra Marnul, juniors Natalie Papa and Kailey White and sophomore Christina Martino.
