Lincoln-Way Score Round-Up: Volleyball, Tennis, Soccer, Softball

NEW LENOX, IL — High school sports have been hugely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. With the end of the school year, most sports teams are nearing the end of their seasons.

Teams still competing include tennis, wrestling, soccer, water polo, softball, baseball, lacrosse and volleyball.

Here is a round-up of Lincoln-Way area scores:

Baseball

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Baseball falls to Homewood-Flossmoor High School, 10-5

Lincoln-Way Central baseball won against Andrew, 1-0

Caden Leonard throws complete game no hitter with seven stroke outs. Ryan Kraft triples and scores the lone run for the Knights.

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Baseball beat Crete-Monee High School, 9-8

Lincoln-Way Central baseball won against Andrew, 11-0

Ryan Kraft, Turner Doran and Colin Mowry all hit home runs. Mike Maloney, Doran, Liam Rossi and Jack Novak all had two hits. Kraft throws all five innings walking zero and striking out 7.

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Baseball beat Sandburg, 10-2

Lincoln-Way Central baseball won against Stagg, 12-5

Ryan Kraft, Colin Mowry and Matt Maloney all hit homeruns in the 9-run third inning to power the Knights to a 12-5 victory. Ethan Rossow, Ryan Kraft and Liam Rossi account for 8 of the 14 hits as every senior contributes in the win.
