Lincoln-Way West Cheerleading Takes Third At State Finals
Lincoln-Way West advanced to the state finals after also taking second place at sectionals.
NEW LENOX, IL — The Lincoln-Way West Cheerleading team ended its season with a third-place finish at the IHSA Large Division state finals. The team earned third with a score of 96.60, according to IHSA final scores.
The team was defeated by first-place Lincoln-Way East (98.73) and second-place Sandburg High School (96.71).
Lincoln-Way West advanced to the state finals after taking second place at sectionals, according to the IHSA website. The team took second with a score of 94.57 at sectionals, losing to Lincoln-Way East (97.24) and defeating third-place Edwardsville (94.03).
