Lincoln-Way West Girls Basketball Takes Second In State
This was the first IHSA state final tournament appearance for Lincoln-Way West.
NEW LENOX, IL — The Lincoln-Way West varsity girls basketball team took second place in the IHSA Class 4A state final tournament held March 6-7. According to the IHSA website, the team lost to Fremd High School 47-58.
In the semifinals, Lincoln-Way West defeated Bolingbrook High School 68-57 to advance to the championship game. This was the first IHSA state final tournament appearance for Lincoln-Way West.
An assembly and trophy presentation was held at the school Sunday for the team.

The team is coached by Ryan White and assistant coaches David Gallagher, Brian Miller and Jeff Render.
