LincolnWay Community Bank today announced that it has secured $10,000 grants from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank Chicago) to help the Silver Cross Foundation and MorningStar Mission fight the effects of COVID-19 in the LincolnWay area.

The FHLBank Chicago established its COVID-19 Relief Program consisting of zero-rate advances and grants to help Illinois and Wisconsin member institutions support the communities they serve that are directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a FHLBank Chicago member institution, LincolnWay Community Bank applied for and received these $10,000 grants on behalf of the Silver Cross Foundation and MorningStar Mission.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged all of us to show up for our communities in new and different ways,” said Katie Naftzger, FHLBank Chicago community investment officer. “We’re proud to support our members, such as LincolnWay Community Bank, and the impactful work they are doing to support their local economies through this challenging time.”
