Live Burn Training Planned In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — A live burn training is planned for March 15, March 16 and March 17 in New Lenox, the New Lenox Fire Protection District said. The training will be conducted each day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at a donated home in the 800 block of North Cooper Road.

According to the fire district, residents in the area may see smoke during this time.

Cooper Road south of Oakview Drive will also have a heavy presence of fire apparatus during these times, so the area should be avoided if possible, the fire district said.
