Mainstream Boutique Opens In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — Mainstream Boutique, 2340 E. Lincoln Highway, will celebrate its grand opening in New Lenox with a celebration Oct. 8-10.

“We never would have thought we had the courage to go ahead and open a small business during a
pandemic,” Owner Amanda McKeller said in a release. “But here we are! We made it and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who got us here.”

Penny and Amanda McKeller started their journey back in February when they selected their retail
space in New Lenox with an original opening goal of June, a release states. When their plans were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, they put the time to good use, honing their social media skills and learning to do Facebook Live videos to keep in touch with shoppers who aren’t comfortable visiting retail stores right now.

“We are proud to be independent business owners, but we’re also proud to be part of a franchise
organization of women who own Mainstream Boutique stores all across the country,” Penny said in a release. “We connect every week, sharing information, ideas and inspiration with each other. This network of women, and the wonderful people in our community who have shown us such love and support, have kept us strong.”

The business opened its doors on Sept. 14, and has been amazed at the immediate outpouring of community support and enthusiasm for their new business, a release states.

Hours for the business include 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and is closed on Sunday.

Mainstream Boutique is a national franchise system of 80 independently owned and operated women’s clothing boutiques in 23 states across the United States, a release states.
