Man Attempts to Lure Boy at Baseball Field

NEW LENOX, IL — A man attempted to lure a boy into his car near Tyler Bentley baseball fields Saturday afternoon, New Lenox Police said Tuesday.

A 10-year-old boy told his parents and police that just before 3 p.m., a man described only as "older and thin, with grey hair" called to him, saying he "had something in his car" for the child.

The boy refused to go with him, and the man left the fields, located at 511 East Illinois Highway. The boy was not able to provide police with a vehicle description.
