Man Dies after Crash in New Lenox

A Joliet man died Monday following a crash in New Lenox,

Jerry Lee Rucker, 57, was involved in a crash near Gougar Road and West Illinois Highway in New Lenox, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Rucker, of the 1100 block of Kinmouth Drive in Joliet, was transported to Loyola University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:27 p.m., reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

An autopsy Wednesday concluded that he died of multiple blunt force injuries as a result of a motor vehicle crash. His death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner’s office.
