New Lenox 4th Of July Parade To Honor Essential Workers
"We would love to have you attend and be recognized for all you've done for our community," village officials said to essential workers.
NEW LENOX, IL—The upcoming 4th of July parade in New Lenox will honor all military service members, first responders, teachers, health care professionals and essential business personnel who worked amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
If you are an essential worker who lived or worked within New Lenox amid the Covid-19 pandemic, and would like to be a part of our 4th of July parade, village officials want to hear from you.
"We would love to have you attend and be recognized for all you've done for our community," village officials said on their official Facebook page.

Essential workers will have an opportunity to walk in the parade by simply clicking on this link to sign up.

- This event will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 4.
- The parade will follow the same route as the village's Loyalty Day parade.
- Lineup will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m., with more details to come.
- This is a walking parade only. No unauthorized vehicles will be permitted.
- You may bring your own signs and handouts. (The village will provide candy to hand out upon request)
- Family members may walk together, but we must know how many people will be attending with you.
