New Lenox Begins Road Resurfacing Project
This week, several streets will have concrete curb and sidewalks removed and replaced, and saw cutting of curbs and sidewalks is planned.
NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox has started its 2020 road resurfacing project, the village shared on its Facebook page. For the first week of construction, several streets will have concrete curb and sidewalks removed and replaced, and saw cutting of curbs and sidewalks is also planned.
According to the village, the following streets will see construction this week (Aug. 24 - Aug. 29):
- Joliet Highway -Wildwood Drive to Wisconsin Road
- Western Avenue - Illinois Highway to Joliet Highway
- Lexington Road - Wildwood Drive to Western Avenue
- Woodlawn Road - Wildwood Drive to Western Avenue
- Michigan Road - Wildwood Drive to Wisconsin Road
- Charleston Drive - Western Avenue to Congress Drive
- Hancock Drive - Otto Drive to Otto Drive
- Patriot Drive - Otto Drive to Charleston Drive
- Revere Court - Otto Drive to cul-de-sac
- Western Avenue - Illinois Highway to Charleston Drive
- Colony Lane - Ogden Road to Charleston Drive
- Congress Drive - Ogden Road to Otto Drive
- Ogden Road - Illinois Highway to Otto Drive
- Otto Drive- Cedar Road to the dead end
- Liberty Lane - Charleston Drive to Otto Drive
The village asked that if construction includes removal and replacement of curb and sidewalk that residents move cars to an area that will allow work to be done.
