New Lenox Delays Fireworks Event Again

NEW LENOX, IL - The Fourth of July rains prompted New Lenox village officials to postpone their community's fireworks show for two days. However, Thursday's additional rains caused New Lenox to announce on social media that Friday night's fireworks show won't happen either.

"Due to today's additional storms the fireworks were damaged and can no longer be used for our makeup event tomorrow, July 6," the announcement stated. "New fireworks are being ordered and a new date for the fireworks display will be announced shortly. We are extremely thankful for your patience and understanding."
