New Lenox Fire Protection District Family Fun Day Set for August 13

Family activities geared toward kids. Hot dogs, Sno-cones and more!

(August 3, 2016) – It’s time for New Lenox residents to mark their calendars for the New Lenox Fire Protection District’s (NLFPD) Family Fun Day. This year the event will be held on Saturday, August 13, from 12 to 3 p.m. at Station 1, 261 E. Maple.

“Family Fun Day is a day for the district to give back to its residents,” said NLFPD Chief Steve Engledow. “There are going to be plenty of activities for families to come and take part in.”

The Family Fun Day will include engine rides, a new fire safety house, and other children’s activities. Hotdogs, chips, Sno-cones, and drinks will also be provided to those who attend. The primary mission of the New Lenox Fire and Ambulance Protection District is to provide a range of programs designed to protect the lives and property within New Lenox Village and Township from the effects for fires and sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature with professional, compassionate, and quality service.
