New Lenox Plans Vaccination Clinic, Offers Rides For Older Adults

You can register for an appointment at 3 p.m. Thursday.

NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox, partnering with Will County Health Department, Jewel Osco, Lincoln-Way District 210, and New Lenox Township, will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on March 24 and March 25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Appointments will be available starting at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Mayor Tim Baldermann said the appointments are geared toward those 65 and older, and those in phase 1A and phase 1B. 800 appointments will be taken for each day, and once you schedule your first appointment you will be automatically scheduled for the second shot.

The clinic will use the Pfizer vaccine, so the second shot will be administered 21 days after the first.

Baldermann said the New Lenox Township Senior Transportation Department can provide rides for older adults living in the Village or the Township. Availability is limited. You can call them at 815-485-6431 by March 22 to schedule a ride.
