The police department and District 122 will both collect food for the New Lenox Food Pantry until April 2.
NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Police Department is holding its 13th annual Cops Care Food Drive. The police department and New Lenox School District 122 will collect food until April 2, when donations will be delivered to the New Lenox Food Pantry, according to the department.
"This past year has been an extremely difficult time for members of the New Lenox Community, and this challenge will not only help fill our local food pantry but also raise the consciousness of our children about the struggles their neighbors and friends may be having," the department said on its Facebook.
The police department, 200 Veterans Parkway, will have a collection bin in the front lobby for those who wish to make a donation.
