New Lenox Rebels Has New Leadership

Jim O'Dette approved as Rebels President

The New Lenox Rebels is under new leadership. At the October board meeting, Jim O'Dette was confirmed as the new president of the New Lenox Baseball Association (NLBA). “Our goal is to give every kid the opportunity to play ball in the New Lenox area” said Jim O’Dette. Jim also continued to say, “We want everyone to think of the Rebels as the place to go to play baseball regardless of skill level.” The board also confirmed several other key positions during the board meeting. Carrie Pintar was confirmed as Executive Board Secretary, Rick Shea has been named to Director of Sponsorships, Mike Granata was named as Field Director, Dan Ryan and Ryan Veach were named as Assistant Field Directors, Vince Fiore as the new Training and Development Director, Joe Hoffmann as Tournament Director, and Todd Strein was named as the Vice President of the Shetland Division (4-5 years old).

The New Lenox Rebels is looking to redesign youth baseball for the upcoming 2021 spring season. Registration is now open for the 2021 season. Under Jim O’Dette’s leadership the board is looking to make this the best baseball season ever. The board has decided not to raise any prices, is looking to add coaching development seminars for all age levels, and plans to update all fields. “The old vision of youth baseball is over, and we are now changing the youth baseball experience at the New Lenox Baseball Association”, said O’Dette. You can tell that the executive board is energized to raise the standards of youth organizations. The NLBA is one of the top youth baseball programs in the area for all ages and abilities. Jim explained that “our expectation is that every family has a great experience no matter the score or the record”. The Rebels organization is looking forward to seeing every player grow their excitement of baseball.
