New Lenox Splash Pads Opening June 1

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox Community Park District's splash pads at Hibernia Park and Walker Country Estates Park are set to open June 1.

From June 1 to Aug. 15, both parks' splash pads will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.

It is $3 per person for residents under 21, and parents/guardians over 21 are free. Both parks have a concession stand which is open throughout the week.

According to the park district website, splash pad entry will be free on July 4, however no staff will be on duty.

Rules for the splash pad include: children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian inside the splash pad, picture ID is required to show residency, no food, beverages or coolers are allowed inside the splash pad area, no alcohol is permitted.

Splash pads will be turned on when the temperature hits 74 degrees, the park district said.

Hibernia Park is located at Eagle Circle and Blarney Road; and Walker Country Estates Park is located at 299 Lenox St.
