Trustee Jasen Howard's last board meeting will be June 28.

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox Village Trustee Jasen Howard has announced he will be resigning as trustee, effective at the end of the village board meeting on June 28.
"My wife and I selected New Lenox to raise our family. Having grown up in the Lincoln-Way area, we never thought that we would leave," Howard wrote, "However, she was offered an amazing promotion which will require us to relocate. I cannot express how proud of her I am, and I look forward to supporting her in her new role. We are excited to take this adventure of relocating our family."
Howard said the opportunity was presented only a few weeks ago, and only became official at the end of May. He added that he was in contact with Mayor Tim Baldermann about this relocation, and said the mayor has been nothing but supportive.
