New Metra Station Building Now Open
After a year of construction, the building opened on Monday.
NEW LENOX, IL — The new Metra train station building is now open in New Lenox, the village said on its website. The new building opened Monday, and there is currently no payment required for parking.
The building was under construction for almost all of 2020, after the Village approved the $8.638 million project in November 2019.
The station is on Metra's Rock Island line, which provides service from Joliet to Chicago.
