Obituary: Kyle Nelson

Kyle Nelson of New Lenox, (formerly of Dolton,) died Monday, July 13, 2020, family by his side, at Silver Cross Hospital.

Devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Kyle is survived by his amazing wife Margo (nee) Spencer, sons Kurt of Joliet and Matt and his grandson Alex, of New Lenox.

NEW LENOX, IL — Kyle Nelson of New Lenox, (formerly of Dolton,) died Monday, July 13, 2020, family by his side, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. At his request, no service will be held.

Born to Walter S. and Adele Ruth A. (nee) Beilfuss, Kyle was the youngest of three brothers, survived by Keith L. and Kevin L. respectively. Kyle was a 1976 graduate from Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois, and a member of the Wildcats Basketball Team.

Kyle was the Director of Building Services for Silver Cross Hospital, as well as the FAA Manager of the Helipad.

In life, Kyle was a master provider, at times working three jobs to provide for his family. He loved spending time with his children. He would often take them to Naples, Florida, on vacation. A lover of music, Kyle would attend several concerts a year to see his favorite bands like Blue Oyster Cult, Electric Light Orchestra, KISS, and others. He loved to swim in the pool with his children and grandson Alex, and BBQ on the grill. Burgers and brats were his favorite, unless ribs were on the menu!

Kyle was a Past Master Mason, member of the (former) Radio Lodge, (Blue Lodge) in Riverdale, Illinois. Kyle is missed terribly by anyone who knew him. With his generous, outgoing personality, the world is a diminished, quiet place without him.
