Over $30,000 Raised At Lincoln-Way Foundation Gala

Proceeds from the event are used for both scholarships and classroom enhancements.

NEW LENOX, IL — The Lincoln-Way Foundation raised over $30,000 at its annual gala and auction held in February, which was held virtually this year. The event was hosted by Foundation Executive Director Bob Kennedy and Foundation Board President Stacie McGlone.

“I am thankful for all the donations and volunteer support of our event. We hope people will join us in-person on Feb. 12, 2022 at the Odyssey Country Club for the next Gala,” said McGlone.

During the event, viewers learned how the foundations raises money and heard testimonials from students and staff on the various ways the funds benefit Lincoln-Way 210, according to the district.

“We provided more than $23,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in 2020 and thanks to community support of the 2021 Gala, we plan to fund $30,000 in scholarships this May,” Kennedy said in a release. “Each high school will receive $10,000 to allocate to 20 graduating seniors, or $500 per scholarship. During these difficult times, we are happy to help offset some of the expenses associated with continuing education.”

Proceeds from the event are used for both scholarships and classroom enhancements, the district said.
