NEW LENOX, IL — Frustrated parents and Lincoln-Way area residents lined Rte. 30 Thursday afternoon to protest the closing of Lincoln-Way North High School—and demand the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Scott Tingley.
The picketing began at 4:30 p.m. and was scheduled to precede the evening's Board of Education meeting, slotted to begin at 5:30 p.m.
News broke Wednesday of another—and fourth—board member to resign. Newcomer Dr. Kathleen Casey has abandoned her seat after just three months on the beleaguered board. Other resignations this year have included former board president Kevin Molloy and former board members Christopher McFadden and Arvid Johnson.
