Pastime Sports Academy Under New Ownership
John Sabatino, who is a well-known private pitching and baseball instructor in the area, has taken over the business.
NEW LENOX, IL — Pastime Sports Academy, a baseball and softball training facility in New Lenox, is now under new ownership. John Sabatino, who is a well-known private pitching and baseball instructor in the area, has taken over the business.
Sabatino told Patch he's been coaching and instructing for 30 years.
Pastime Sports Academy, 1919 Clearing Court, first opened in 1986, and offers team instruction as well as private training for pitching, hitting, fielding and catching.

Sabatino said the business' busy season starts in November, as teams start to prepare for the spring season.
A new business website and Facebook will be up soon, as well as some offers for special packages. The facility has cages and a dirt mound, but Sabatino said the facility is also going through some renovations.

The hours for the business are 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
