Repair Work Starting Soon on New Lenox Metra Crossings

NEW LENOX, IL — Heads up, drivers. Metra will be doing some work on the tracks in June, so keep an eye out for detours.

Metra will be renewing the at Rte. 30 and Cedar Road beginning June 15, 6 a.m., through June 24, 6 p.m. Pedestrians will have access at this location via the pedestrian crossing that is near the train station just east of Cedar Road during this construction, except for Saturday and Sunday June 18–19.

Metra will then work on the crossing at Gougar Road and Rte. 30, August 10 at 6 a.m. through August 19 at 8 p.m.

Signs will be placed about a week in advance of the closure to notify the motoring public. Detour routes will be posted for the closures.
