NEW LENOX, IL — After several days of heavy rain, the south suburbs have received between 3 and 4 inches of rain total. Roads have also been impacted from the rain, and several across the Chicago area are closed due to flooding.
In New Lenox, the Illinois Department of Transportation said:
- US 30 Highland Park Drive to Washington St. in New Lenox in Will County is closed due to flooding.
It seems the rain will taper off today, but Thursday will feature another round of showers and storms, although there is less of a heavy rain threat.
