Semi-Truck Rollover Caused I-80 Eastbound Closure: Police
No one was injured in the crash early Thursday, and the truck was carrying non-hazardous material, police said.
NEW LENOX, IL —Eastbound lanes on Interstate 80 near Route 30 were closed early Thursday after a rollover crash, according to Illinois State Police. The single-unit crash happened at 5:43 a.m. Thursday, and involved a semi-truck carrying non-hazardous material, police said.
At first, police said the driver had non-life threatening injuries, but then updated to say the driver had no injuries. Eastbound lanes on I-80 were closed for the crash investigation, and traffic was diverted off onto Route 30.
Lanes reopened at 7:15 a.m. Thursday after the crash investigation was complete, police said.
