Silver Cross Plans Vaccine Clinic For Ages 12 And Over
Silver Cross will hold a vaccine clinic Wednesday targeting the 12 and older population.

NEW LENOX, IL — Children ages 12 to 15 can now receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine after emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration and recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's advisory committee on immunization practices.
At Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, the hospital will hold a first-dose clinic targeting the 12 and older population. The clinic will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, and you can schedule an appointment online.
For those who are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of vaccination, the hospital said.

In Will County, 34.38 percent of the county's population is fully vaccinated, or 237,982 residents. The COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine was previously only available to those over 16, and Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available for those over 18.
