A round-up of scores of Lincoln-Way sports teams over the past week.

NEW LENOX, IL — High school sports have been hugely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Now that restrictions have loosened across the state, sports have started to practice and compete again.

This week, sports teams have continued their spring seasons, including soccer, water polo, softball, baseball, football and volleyball.

Baseball

Lincoln-Way Central boys baseball tied Oak Forest, 7-7

Colin Mowry two run home run; he was 3-4 at bat with a home run and a triple. Ryan Kraft was 3-3 and Matt Maloney threw three strong no-hit innings.

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Baseball beat Plainfield East High School, 13-12

Lincoln-Way Central won against Minooka, 2-1

Ryan Kraft went six innings giving up only one unearned run; Landon Mensik picked up his first varsity win as a freshman and Mike Maloney drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Football

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Football beat Homewood-Flossmoor High School, 23-17

Soccer

Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Soccer falls to Plainfield North High School, 2-0

Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Soccer beat Andrew, 2-1

Ian Webber scored with 45 seconds left in the second half against Andrew to secure the win for the Warriors to seal the conference championship.

Lincoln-Way Central boys soccer won against Bradley, 7-0

Goals scored by Lucchetti (3), Rafacz (2), Leonard, and Roussakis. Marszalak earns the shutout win in goal.

Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Soccer falls to Sandburg, 1-0

Lincoln-Way Central boys soccer won against Bolingbrook, 3-2

Goals by Rafacz (2) and Mellen. Marszalak earns the win in goal.

Softball

Lincoln-Way Central girls softball won against Lincoln-Way East, 1-0

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Softball beat Coal City High School, 11-0

Lincoln-Way Central girls softball won against Joliet West, 7-0

Lyndsey Grein had 7 innings pitched, 15 strikeouts; McKenzie Murdock had a 2-run home run.

Lincoln-Way Central won against Lincoln-Way West, 4-0

Lyndsey Grein had seven innings pitched, and seven strikeouts. Carly Alvers had a 3-run home run.

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Softball beat Lockport High School, 2-1

Volleyball

Lincoln-Way Central girls volleyball lost against Providence, 13-25; 22-25

Caitlyn Rochon had 4 aces, 4 digs; Rachel Kolodziej had 4 kills, 2 digs, 1 block; and Kadynce Woodrum had 9 digs, 2 aces.

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Volleyball beat Stagg, 2-0

Bella Been dominated with 9 kills; Alexa Flores had 16 assist kills and 7 digs; Emma Young and Ashlynn Lindsay also contributed 7 digs; Paige Ciesla led the Warriors in 5 block assists.

Lincoln-Way Central girls volleyball lost against Bradley Bourbonnais, 24-26; 16

Rachel Kolodziej had 6 kills; Kadynce Woodrum had 14 digs, 1 ace

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Andrew, 2-1

Taylor Schlinger led the team in 7 kills; Bella Been had 10 digs; Emma Young had 6 block assists; Mae Ladalski had 8 digs; and Alexa Flores led the team in 15 assists in kills.

Water Polo

Lincoln-Way Central boys water polo won against Lockport, 19-5

Lincoln-Way Central girls water polo won against Lockport, 17-9

Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Water Polo beat Bremen High School, 16-3

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Water Polo beat Richards, 14-8

Lincoln-Way West goals: Lea Moeller - 5, Amelia Dellamano - 2, Abby Karpluk - 2, Madalyn Witt - 1, Teagan Zack - 1, Ally Witt - 1, Emma Stiglic - 1, Sydney McGann - 1. Madalyn Witt had 5 saves and Teagan Zack had 2 saves.

All 14 players scored a goal

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Water Polo falls to Lincoln-Way East High School, 18-5

Lea Moeller had 2 goals; Teagan Zack had 1 goal; Ally Witt had 1 goal; Sydney McGann had 1 goal; Amelia Dellamano had 11 saves; and Madalyn Witt had 2 saves
