Vandalism, Failure To Register As Sex Offender: Police Reports

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Aug. 6
- Sabrina Gathers, 25, of Joliet, was charged with speeding, driving while license suspended, and no proof of insurance at 7:31 p.m. at Haven and Warren avenues.
- Edgar Sivaja, 43, of Joliet, was charged with speeding, driving while license revoked and no proof of insurance at 11:03 p.m. in the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway.

- Delbert Scott, 66, of Chicago, was charged with failing to register as a sex offender at 12:51 a.m. at Marley Road and Lincoln Highway. According to reports, police were called to the area for a report of someone lying in the grass. They found Scott, who indicated he was homeless. The officer learned Scott is a sex offender who is required to register, but had not done so.
- Someone vandalized a construction site and stole miscellaneous items in the 400 block of Landings Drive.
