A round-up of scores of Lincoln-Way sports teams over the past week.

NEW LENOX, IL — High school sports have been hugely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Now that restrictions have loosened across the state, sports have started to practice and compete again.

This week, sports teams have continued their spring seasons, including soccer, water polo, football and volleyball.

Lincoln-Way West High School Varsity Football beat Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, 48-0


Soccer

April 1

Lincoln-Way Central won against Lincoln-Way West, 4-2

Goals by Josh Lucchetti (2), Johnny Roussakis, and Eddie Rafacz. Assists by Brandon Mellen, Johhny Roussakis, and Dylan Alfonso. Ryan Marszalak recorded with win in goal.

April 6

Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Soccer beat Bradley-Bourbonnais High School, 8-1

April 7

Lincoln-Way Central boys soccer lost against Stagg, 3-4

Goals scored by Eddie Rafacz (2) and Josh Lucchetti.

April 8

Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Soccer beat Stagg, 3-2

West came out with the victory with an overtime penalty kick goal from captain Drew Murphy.


Volleyball

March 30

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Carl Sandburg High School, 2-0

Lincoln-Way Central girls volleyball lost against Andrew, 26-26; 25-22; 13-25

Caitlyn Rochon had 9 aces, 10 digs; Nicole Connolly had 5 kills, 12 digs, 1 block.

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Joliet Catholic Academy 2-0

April 6

Lincoln-Way Central girls volleyball lost against Lincoln-Way West, 22-25; 18-25

Haley Velez had 1 ace, 5 kills, 7 digs; Rachel Kolodziej had 4 kills; Mackenzie Gardiner had 9 assists, 6 digs

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Volleyball beat Lincoln-Way Central High School, 2-0

Bella Been had 8 kills, 3 aces, and 8 block assists; Alexa Flores led the team in 16 assist kills with her setting and contributed with 11 digs; Paige Ciesla had 11 block assists; Ashlynn Lindsay also helped with 10 digs.

April 8

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Bradley-Bourbonnais High School, 2-0

Alexa Flores had 11 digs in tonight's game and 11 assists in kills; Bella Been had 9 digs and Emma Young led the Warriors in 10 block assists.

Lincoln-Way Central girls volleyball won against Stagg, 25-20; 25-14

Nicole Connolly had 6 kills, 6 digs, 2 aces; Rachel Kolodziej had 4 kills, 1 ace, 1 block; and Skylar Smith had 5 kills, 1 block.


Water Polo

April 1

Lincoln-Way Central girls water polo lost against Lincoln-Way East, 8-19

Lincoln-Way West High School Girls Varsity Water Polo falls to Carl Sandburg High School, 13-9

Lea Moeller scored 4, Abby Karpluk scored 2, Amelia Dellamano scored 2, and Madalyn Witt scored 1. Amelia Dellamano had 5 saves, and Madalyn Witt had 6 saves.

Lincoln-Way West High School Boys Varsity Water Polo falls to Carl Sandburg High School, 14-11

April 8

Lincoln-Way Central girls water polo defeats Lincoln-Way West, 20-10

Sam Triner had 8 goals.

Lincoln-Way Central boys water polo won against Lincoln-Way West, 12-4

Danny Adamson had 7 goals and Alex Culver had 12 saves in goal.
