Will County DOT 5 Year Transportation Improvement Plan
Many County Roads are Planned to be improved in and around New Lenox

On July 16th the Will County Board approved the Will County DOT 5 Year Transportation Improvement Plan with expenditures of up to $364 Million. Some of the area roads planned to be improved include the following:
1. Laraway Road at Cedar Road intersection improvement with double turn lanes on Laraway Road and new permanent traffic signals. This project is undergoing Design Engineering and Land Acquisition.
2. Laraway Road from Cedar Road to US Route 45 is in the process of Preliminary Engineering for a 4 lane roadway.

3. Laraway Road from Route 52 to Cedar Road is in Design Engineering for a 4 lane roadway.
4. Gougar Road from Laraway Road to Haven Avenue is in Preliminary Engineering for a 4 lane roadway.

5. 80th Avenue from 191st Street to 183rd Street is planned to be constructed to a 4 lane Roadway, which includes a new bridge over I-80 in 2021.
