The smell of cotton candy and elephant ears is in the air and that can mean only one thing: the Will County Fair is gearing up again.
The fair will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. There is a $4 admission price at the gate and children under 10 get in free. Carnival rides begin at 4 p.m.

The fair will run through Sunday and each day brings a new theme:
- Aug. 26 - Family Day
- Aug. 27 - Senior Citizen’s Day and Veterans Day
- Aug. 28 - Demolition Derby Day 1
- Aug. 29 - Democrat Day and Demolition Derby Day 2
- Aug. 30 - Republican Day
In addition to food and rides, there will be a tractor pull, a baby show, chili cook-off and more. For a full list of events visit the Will County Fair website. Start times for the fair vary throughout the week so make sure to check the schedule before heading out.
