
Will County Sheriff Mike Kelley will award one $1,000 scholarship through the Illinois Sheriff's Association.
Applications must be postmarked by March 15 for the scholarship, which can apply to tuition, books and school fees only for the 2017-18 academic year. To be eligible, students must be permanent Illinois residents and enrolled full time at a certified institution of higher learning in Illinois.
"There will be no restriction on any applicant by reason of race, age, creed, color, sex or national origin," the sheriff's office said.

Applications are available online at www.ilsheriff.org on the Will County Sheriff's website.
Students must complete the application; answer the essay question, and return all documentation to Will County Sheriff's Office, Attn: Scholarship Application, 14 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60432.
