Woman Treats Husband to Dinner after Winning $350K in Lottery

MANTENO, IL — “When I received my check from the Lottery, I went straight to the bank to deposit it, then took my husband out for a celebration dinner!” Manteno resident Holly Koehne said after winning a $350,000 Lucky Day Lotto jackpot prize last month.

Koehne discovered her win when she checked the winning Lucky Day Lotto numbers on the Illinois Lottery website and saw that her ticket matched all five numbers - 07 -- 11 – 24 – 25 – 26 - in the Tuesday, August 16, evening drawing. “I chose these numbers a few years ago because I thought they looked lucky, and I’ve been playing them ever since,” she said when she presented her winning ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Springfield.

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, 4901 West 167th Street in Oak Forest. Two winning tickets shared the August 16th Lucky Day Lotto $700,000 jackpot. The other $350,000 winning ticket was purchased at A & B Convenience, 100 West Randolph Street in Chicago. Each retailer received a bonus of $3,500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling a winning ticket.
