1. Teardrop Cafe, 826 W Laraway Rd., New Lenox | 4.5 stars

Max A. of New Lenox says: So glad I discovered this place. You can tell the food is made with fresh ingredients. I’m not really a breakfast person but I consistently find myself ordering breakfast because it’s so good. Haven’t found the time to try the lunch or dinner menu but I’m going to get there. The staff was very attentive and took care of everything we needed. The atmosphere is clean and cozy and unrushed. I think I found my new regular place in town, my only fear is the rest of New Lenox will find this place and I won’t be able to get in anymore.

2. White Street Cafe, 11 S. White St., Frankfort | 4.5 stars

Megan G. says: Cute little cafe nestled in the red barn in old downtown Frankfort. Our party enjoyed a turkey club wrap, caprese panini and chicken tenders kids meal. All were very freshly prepared, especially the fruit salad that came with the tenders. Friendly staff and comfortable seating. Coffee bar looks inviting as well.

3. Country Charm, 101 Lincolnway Dr., New Lenox | 4 stars

Natalie B. of Portland, Oregon says: Dudes. Go to Illinois and have yourself some of the Country Charm. I’m serious, if you’re in the neighborhood, do it. The waitstaff is so nice they will knock your socks right off, your food will be delivered in like 5 minutes, and it’s the best comfort food around.

Omellettes, Scrambles, Skillets, oh my. Diner-ish and wonderful, I like the Country Charm.

4. Kup A Joe Cafe, 41 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort | 4 stars

I love going out to breakfast and even more than that, I love a breakfast place that loves me back! I am so darn happy that Kup a Joe opened in the space that used to house a different breakfast place. ... Kup a Joe, you are my new crush!

5. Breakfast Nook, 19140 S 88th Ave., Mokena | 3.5 stars

Alison K. of Tinley Park says: Yum! The food here is delicious. I have gone to the Breakfast Nook both for dine-in and carry out several times and have always had great experiences.

The portion sizes are huge, prices are great, and food is delicious. I love their veggie skillet, especially with diced potatoes. Their pancakes are delicious, fluffy and sweet.
