2 Marist Seniors From Oak Lawn, Justice Sign Letters of Intent

Marist High School varsity girls' volleyball players Molly Mather and Ewelina Gacek will continue their athletic careers in college.

CHICAGO — Marist High School honored 15 seniors as they signed National Letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college. While these students excelled in athletics, they have also attained success in the classroom and demonstrated excellent character. Among them were two students from Oak Lawn and Justice, including:

Setter Molly Mather, of Oak Lawn, will attend and play volleyball for Bradley University in Peoria. With two-years of varsity experience, she was a 2019 state finalist when the RedHawks finished in third place. She is also two-time ESCC champion.

Teammate Ewelina Gacek, of Justice, will attend George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. A three-year varsity player, Ewelina contributed to the 2018 state championship for the RedHawks and the third-place state finish in 2019. A talented outside hitter, she is a two-time ESCC champion and state finalist.

More commitments are expected as the school year continues. Marist is a member of the competitive East Suburban Catholic Conference and its athletes and teams regularly garner success at the local and state levels.
