Tobacco Shop Robbed: Oak Lawn Cops Release Details On Robbery
An employee of Tobacco Island told Oak Lawn police the three suspects entered the store Tuesday evening and started grabbing merchandise.

OAK LAWN, IL — A panic alarm at a tobacco shop brought a quick response and prompted an Everbridge alert to Oak Lawn residents in the area following a robbery Tuesday evening.
Around 5 op.m. Tuesday, Oak Lawn police officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Tobacco Island, 11051 S. Cicero Ave., after an employee pressed the panic alarm.
The employee told police that three men entered the store. While checking one of suspects’ ID, the employee saw the other two grab merchandise and run out the door. The employee was able to stop the third guy from running and a struggle ensued, resulting in the employee getting punched in the face, police said.

All three suspects were male blacks. The first suspect was described as 5-feet-10-inches, with a thin build and wearing a blue puffy coat, white sweatshirt and red sweatpants, and red Jordan gym shoes.
The second suspect was about 6 feet tall with a thin build, last seen wearing a gray/beige jumpsuit with red and white gym shoes.

The last of the three was also 5-feet-10 inches tall with a thin build, and wearing a black sweatshirt, black jeans and black shoes. The trio was last seen running east down 111th Street from the scene.
