Amazon Fresh Grocery Opening for In-Store Shopping In Oak Lawn

OAK LAWN, IL — Although it has been open for online ordering and delivery the past several months, the Amazon Fresh grocery store will open for in-store shopping Thursday, Feb. 11. The store is located on the site of a former Kmart at 4031 W 95th St., Oak Lawn, across the street from Target and Home Depot.

According to a company news release, the store will offer “consistently low prices” on top brands, plus high-quality produce, meat and seafood. Prepared foods are made fresh in the store’s kitchen.

Here’s a sampling of prices:

• Bananas 15¢ each
• French bread 89¢ per loaf
• Pizza slices $1.79 each
• Rotisserie chicken $4.97 each

Amazon Fresh offers a variety of other options for the time-stressed shopper:

• Try the Amazon Dash Cart, and skip the checkout line.
• Find items in store using Alexa Shopping List (on the Amazon app) or a blue Alexa kiosk.
• Free in-store pick-ups and returns of your Amazon packages.

The Amazon Fresh store will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The first hour of opening, from 7 to 8 a.m., is reserved exclusively for customers at higher risk due to COVID-19 (those 60 and older or with underlying medical conditions).
