Celebrate Mother's Day At The Children's Museum In Oak Lawn

Make something special for Mother's Day at the Children's Museum In Oak Lawn this Saturday, May 11, then come back Sunday for Mother's Day.

OAK LAWN, IL — Make something special for mom or grandma this Saturday, May 11, at The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn. “Gardening With Grandpa Andy” runs from 10 a.m. to noon. This activity is free with regular admission to the museum.

Kids can get their hands dirty as they plant flowers into a pot with some help from Grandpa Andy. After watering their flowers, children can decorate their flower pot and take it home to give someone special for Mother’s Day.

Blain’s Farm and Fleet in Romeoville, Big R and Menard’s of Homer Glen.

The children’s museum is located at 5100 Museum Drive, Oak Lawn. Parking is available in the Metra Parking Garage. Admission to the museum is $9 for adults and children; $7 for seniors (55+); $5 for teacher (with ID) and $5 for active military members (up to six members per family).

As an added reminder, the museum will be on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
